Your privacy matters to us. This page explains in plain terms what information is collected when you visit wcibonaberi.com, why, how long it is kept, and how to exercise your rights.
1. Who is responsible for this website?
This website is published and managed by Winners Chapel International Bonaberi (Living Faith Church),
Ancienne Route Bonaberi, Douala, Cameroon — former Fohato cinema, 75 m from the Lycée Bilingue de Bonaberi.

The church is the data controller for the data described below, within the meaning of Cameroon’s Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 on the protection of personal data.
2. What data is collected?
a) Audience measurement (Google Analytics) — only if you accept it
- pages viewed, date and length of the visit, entry and exit pages;
- device type, operating system, browser, language, screen resolution;
- approximate location (country / city) and traffic source (search engine, shared link, etc.);
- a random identifier stored in a cookie, which recognises the same browser from one visit to the next.
This data is used only to understand how the site is used so that we can improve it. We do not enable personalised advertising or sharing of data with advertisers. We do not collect your name, phone number or e-mail address through this tool.
b) Hosting technical data
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. Like any host, Netlify records in technical logs some information needed for the site to work and stay secure (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser). This data is processed automatically and is not used by us to identify you.
c) External content
Some images on the site (logo, backgrounds, visuals) are loaded from Google servers. When they are displayed, your browser sends your IP address to those servers, as with any externally hosted image. Links to Facebook and WhatsApp lead to third-party services with their own privacy policies.
d) When you contact us
This site has no form, user account or comment area. If you write to or call us (phone, WhatsApp), we receive your number and the content of your message, only in order to reply. We never sell or rent personal data.
3. Why, and on what basis?

4. Cookies and trackers
On your first visit, a banner asks you to accept or refuse audience-measurement cookies. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and the site works the same either way. No audience-measurement cookie is set before you agree.

5. Who receives your data?
- Google (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited) — provider of Google Analytics, for audience data if you accept it;
- Netlify, Inc. — the site’s host;
- church members in charge of the website, strictly as needed for their duties.
Your data is not sold or handed to advertisers.
6. Transfers outside Cameroon
Google and Netlify are established abroad, notably in the United States, so your data may be processed outside Cameroon. For audience measurement, this only happens after you consent; for hosting, it is necessary for the site to work. It is carried out in accordance with the conditions set by Cameroonian law.
7. How long is data kept?
- Audience-measurement cookies: 13 months maximum;
- Statistical data in Google Analytics: 14 months maximum, then automatically deleted;
- Your cookie choice: 6 months;
- Hosting technical logs: limited period set by Netlify;
- Messages received by phone or WhatsApp: as long as needed to reply to you.
8. Your rights
Under Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024, you have in particular the following rights:
- information about how your data is used (the purpose of this page);
- access to the data concerning you;
- rectification of inaccurate data;
- objection to processing on legitimate grounds;
- erasure of your data where the legal conditions are met;
- withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting what was done before the withdrawal.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with Cameroon’s Personal Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données à caractère personnel).
Note: audience-measurement data is tied to a random identifier rather than to your identity, so we can only link it to a specific person if you help us find that identifier; the simplest way to remove it is to refuse cookies and clear those in your browser.
9. Security
The site is served over a secure connection (HTTPS). Access to the site’s administration is limited to authorised people. As no system is infallible, please report any anomaly to us.
10. Children
This site is not intended to collect data about children. If you believe a minor has given us personal information, please contact us so that we can delete it.
11. Changes
This policy may change, for instance if the law or the site changes. The update date is shown at the top of the page. For any important change, the consent banner will be shown to you again.
